News

Air Creebec will gradually resume its scheduled flights with respect and at the pace of the communities it serves.

Val-d’Or  June 11th, 2020 –  As an essential service, with evolving measures that exceed the requirements of Transport Canada, Air Creebec has continued charter flights since the beginning of the pandemic, either for the transportation of patients or workers who maintain work sites. The vast majority of these flights are operated from our private terminal in Dorval (FBO,) accessible via Ryan Avenue, which provides passengers with access to our exclusive boarding gate.

Recently, the resumption of mining activities, linked to acceptance by their community, has increased the number of flights. With the increase in the volume of flights, we are gradually recalling our staff. In addition to this measure, we continue to train our employees to meet the health challenges that we are all tackling together, in order to provide the best protection for our passengers, crews and employees.

Having clean aircraft has always been a source of great pride at Air Creebec. Despite the daily landings and takeoffs on the gravel runways, our aircraft are known to be resplendent with cleanliness. In response to the current epidemic, Air Creebec has increased cleaning protocol and taken additional precautionary measures to disinfect planes at our main bases, on a daily basis.  Arrangements to disinfect at our connection bases are also provided, as needed, with products approved and recognized as effective against COVID -19.

For the resumption of our regular flights, Air Creebec is collaborating with the Public Health Authorities, as well as those of all communities and elected officials. For all our services, the time to resume will be a matter of health and safety before a business opportunity, so we will gradually proceed at a respectful pace for the territories we serve. Currently, seat and route inventories have been removed from the distribution lists.  We prefer to wait to confirm the actual dates of our regular flights.

We will continue to assess the measures to be put in place to ensure the protection of everyone.  As part of the pandemic, we remain available for charter and cargo transport with a great understanding and respect for the destinations we serve. We transport urgent parcels with tight logistics on the few flights available.

Our mailboxes and telephone services remain active for any questions, and more information is updated on our Facebook page/aircreebec.ca, or at aircreebec.ca/covid-19.

We look forward to welcoming you on board again.
